TRI-COUNTY ELKS LODGE: Supporting Tri-County Youth and Trooper Island Camp

[Corbin, KY, June 28, 2023] - Tri-County Elks Lodge is a proud sponsor of Trooper Island Camp. Throughout May and June, local Elks Lodge members collected summer camp items to support Kentucky youth camp participants. On June 20, 2023, Kentucky State Troopers Jason Smith, Scottie Pennington, and Max Angel collected the donations. The Kentucky State Police Post 11, London, KY, welcomes area youth to the 2023 Trooper Island Camp June 26-30

Since 1966, Trooper Island Camp has provided food, fun, and mentorship to area youth–free of charge. The camp serves youth ages 10-12 years old giving them a true summer camp experience. Activities include fishing, archery, swimming, canoeing, water safety, crafting, environmental education, and much more. The camp provides good food, fresh air, recreation, guidance, and structured, esteem-building activities to build good citizenship and positive relationships with law enforcement.

The Elks Organization remains steadfast in its commitment to serving communities across the country and promoting American values. Through their efforts, they inspire individuals to embrace their civic duties and foster a spirit of unity, making a positive impact on the lives of those around them.
