Elks National President Bruce Hidley visits

Kentucky Elks Association.

Bruce Hidley (left), Elks National President and Johnny Jones, Kentucky Elks Association President (right), present $13,000.00 in donations supporting the KY Elks Association State Major Project "Kids with Cancer". During the State Convention donations were made to Camp Quality Kentuckiana, Kids Cancer Alliance and Bree's Blessing. 

The KY Elks Association offers Veterans Services, Scholarships, Drug Awareness and via our State Major Project, Kids with Cancer, provides support to families battling pediatric cancer.

Through the Hoop Shoot program, the Elks been developing and reinforcing grit for nearly 50 years—long before researchers and experts concluded that grit is so important for our children. Just listen to the parents and contestants in these videos. They’re talking about grit.

Elks Soccer Shoot Program

The Elks Soccer Shoot program consists of two

different contests open to girls and boys:

  • Five Goal Contest: consists of a series of five goals,
    decreasing in size from 48 inches to 17 inches.

    • The five goal contest is for U-8, which includes ages
      seven years old and younger.

  • Grid Goal Contest: consists of a full-size goal sectioned off so points can be scored when the ball is kicked into certain sections.

    • The age groups that use this goal are U-10,ages eight to nine, U-12, ages ten to eleven, U-14, ages twelve to thirteen, and U-16 ages fourteen and fifteen. The U-16 age group is optional, check with your State Soccer Shoot Chairman to see if your State participates using this age group.
